Message from Cardiff Council Highways:-
A vehicle has collided with the Western safety barrier on M4 Cherry Orchard Road Overbridge, that carries Cherry Orchard Road, Lisvane over the M4.
Due to the severity of the damage to the safety barrier there will be an emergency Road closure on 23rd December from 8pm until 5am the following morning, this is to install a secondary temporary safety barrier.
Temporary traffic lights will need to be installed from 5am on 24th December and will remain in place 24/7 until approximately 23rd January 2023, until the damaged section of the safety barrier is fully repaired.
As this is a bus/school bus route the Council has arranged for the lights to be manually controlled at peak times, between the hours of 7am – 9am and 2pm – 6pm to keep delays to a minimum.
