The Community

Lisvane is a community within the Cardiff Unitary Authority area and has its own Lisvane Community Council (LCC) , which is the lowest level of local government. Click on the menu item above to visit the LCC page.

Lisvane also has an active Community Association (LCA) which is an umbrella organisation for the various social, sports and well-being activities within the area. Click on the Community Association menu above to visit the page.

Within the village is the Old School and Memorial Hall which hold various activities in support of village life and have rooms for hire.

The village has a Community Library which is run by the community and is located in the original classroom on the ground floor of the Old School Community Centre. (Click on side-bar for more information.)

The village has a large playing field located on Heol yDelyn, To book the Heol y Delyn Playing field, contact Cardiff Council on the booking line, 02920 453734. We recommend that you make your booking at least three days in advance. At the same location is a Scout Hall. This can also be booked by contacting Hilary Ashton 07811 715281.

An information booklet has been produced by the Lisvane Community Council and the Lisvane Community Association in response to feedback from the Village Plan survey. Its purpose is to ensure that residents are aware of the range of groups and activities available within the community. The booklet includes information on places to hire, groups and clubs, schools, youth activities and volunteer organisations. This has been distributed to the residents of Lisvane.
