REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY

In light of Covid-19 regulations and with the safety of Lisvane residents in mind it has been necessary to significantly reduce the scale of the 2020 Remembrance Sunday service at Lisvane War Memorial. We have taken advice from all concerned including the Police.
The War Memorial service will be led by the Reverend Jim Griffiths (Vicar of St Denys Church) and Mr Chris Williams (Minister of Lisvane Baptist Church).
We are asking that only those who would normally lay wreaths (including veterans) should attend. Anyone else should be please stay away.
Similarly there will be no subsequent public service in the Memorial Hall. However, we are hoping to stream the Act of Remembrance live on the Lisvane Village Facebook Page.
It is unfortunate that we cannot welcome more people in person but Remembrance Sunday falls within the circuit breaker lockdown and we need to minimise any risk to the public.
As usual, could local residents please refrain from parking cars at the War Memorial lay-by that morning
