Lisvane Bookfest has been a popular feature of Lisvane’s annual festival for the last few years and has gone from strength to strength. It provides a fascinating insight into the world of authors and their work, enabling residents with a love of books and speficific subjects of interest to meet the authors and have the opportunity hear them talk about their books, to ask questions and buy signed copies of their work.
The events take place in the Old School Community Centre over a number of days. Admission is by pre-booking via a website. Each year, the Bookfest publishes the Bookfest Programme which is distributed to residents and is available in the Library, on social media and in the Lisvane Link (which distributed to residents who subscribe to Lisvane Community Association). Proceeds go to Lisvane’s Community Library which hosts the Bookfest. The event is sponsored and supported by Lisvane Community Council, the Community Centre Trustees and local businesses.
Previous Bookfests have featured famous authors and demand for tickets has been high. People are therefore encouraged to book early.
